Waesellu Beach in Lasusua District, Southeast Sulawesi Province

The next thing to do is swimming. Waesellu Beach is considered safe for either swimming or playing in the water. With calm waves and shallow water, even beginners can get in the water without hassles. For kids, it is better to wear a floating tire, which is provided by the locals. The thing is you must pay the rent fee for such swimming aid. What about snorkeling? Even though the water comes with a good visibility, it is not suitable for snorkeling.
Another important thing to do in Waesellu Beach is a culinary adventure. Their specialty is definitely seafood, including red shrimp and local crabs. Not only tourists can enjoy the seafood, but they can also taste some traditional foods of South Sulawesi Province like Kabuto and Pokea. All of them are affordable and the taste is definitely mouth-watering. On top of that, the option is many. That means you have an opportunity to try them all and satisfy your hunger.

How to Get There
The beach is located in Ponggiha Village and it belongs to Lasusua District. For those who come from Jakarta, the fastest transportation option is an airplane and the prime destination is Haluoleo Airport in Kendari City. From there, take any available transportation service and use Poros Bungku-Kendari Street. This directly leads to Lasusua and the trip takes about 4 hours. Not to mention the distance is 142 km, which is considered a long trip.
