Waibuku Beach in Southwest Sumba Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province

Not all people have heard the beauty of Waibuku Beach of Southwest Sumba Regency. Well, it is because they only focus on major beaches of NTT Province like Nihiwatu. So, what makes Waibuku special as compared to others? The most common reason why locals keep coming to the location is none other than its sunset. These people also take advantage of the serenity of the site to eradicate stresses and find peace. Some of them even enjoy water sports like surfing and swimming there! So, where is it? The location is in Panenggo Ede Village and it belongs to Kodi Bangedo Sub-District in Indonesia.

The Nuance
Once arriving at Waibuku Beach, tourists may get astonished by the pure beauty of the sand. The color is white and it has a soft texture (which is similar to snow). There is nothing but sand! That means tourists won’t find any gravels or rocks on it. No wonder, everyone can take off their shoes or sandals and walk on the sand comfortably. The next impressive feature is definitely its sloping shoreline with beautiful blue Tosca seawater. The waves are considered moderate, so these are good enough for surfing. As for the wind, it feels warm and breezy.

Exploring Waibuku Beach
The locals have a distinct reason to visit Waibuku Beach and one of them is to enjoy the peaceful nuance. It is because the beach has no facilities and it is not quite popular among tourists. No wonder, the serenity may help tourists to relax and eradicate stresses right away. The combination of exotic white sand and warm weather soothes any people who spend good times there indeed. It is also recommended to carry some foods and drinks, so tourists can enjoy them with either friends or families during the visit.

Another significant reason to visit Waibuku Beach is none other than to watch the romantic sunset. Not many people are aware of such stunning natural attraction, though. This explains why first-timers should learn several things before heading to the beach for the sunset. For instance, it is related to the best time of visit. Simply said, everyone should have been there at dusk. Outsiders should come early due to a longer trip, though.

The next important consideration is related to the best spot to enjoy the sunset. It is common sense. Tourists should choose the west part of the beach to get the best view of such natural attraction, indeed. For a perfect view, it is important to come 1 hour before the exact occurrence of the sunset. This way, everyone is able to witness the entire process of the sun setting. Also, do not forget to carry a camera!
