Pakuto Ciut Beach in Malang City, East Java Province
Perhaps tourists may think about Semeru Mountain when they come to Malang City. However, the region also offers other natural attractions, especially southern beaches. For instance, there is Pakuto Ciut Beach in Donomulyo Sub-District. The exact location is in Kedungsalam Village and it is located beside a neighboring beach called Pakuto Ombo. This explains why tourists are able to visit two beaches at once during the visit. It only takes 5 minutes of walking in order to reach another beach, after all. Another good thing is that Pakuto Ciut Beach has two easy routes that tourists can choose from.
Unlike its brother (Pakuto Ombo), Pakuto Ciut Beach has a short shoreline. This explains why the locals gave the name to it. “Ciut” means small, after all. In terms of nuance, the beach looks peaceful due to the isolated location. The shoreline has a light brown sandy landscape with some rocks on it. Perhaps the most noticeable feature is the big and fierce waves in the sea. No wonder, people should avoid swimming. The color of the sea looks stunning, though, which comes with the gradation of light and dark blue. Not to mention white wave foams hit the shoreline beautifully!
Exploring Pakuto Ciut Beach
It is true Pakuto Ciut Beach is not as popular as Balekambang or Tiga Warna Beach. That doesn’t mean it is inferior to those famous beaches! In terms of beauty, for example, it is definitely satisfying. According to the locals, the best time to visit the site is in the afternoon during the sunset. What tourists need to consider is only the preparation. It is because they won’t find any facilities and must pass through a challenging route to reach the site.
Not only Pakuto Ciut Beach is suitable to witness the soothing sunset, but it also offers a special panorama which is the roaring waves in the sea. In fact, those waves are bigger than other beaches in Malang City! Therefore, it is recommended to carry a camera and take some photos of those waves and other interesting panoramas during the visit. Also, it is recommended to come during the high tide as the waves are the biggest. It is a known fact that swimming is prohibited, though.
Another thing to do in Pakuto Ciut Beach is definitely to visit the neighboring beach called Pakuto Ombo. In fact, tourists only need to walk for several minutes to reach the location. Those beaches are separated by a small forest, actually. That means tourists should conduct a soft exploration if they want to visit the neighboring beach.
