Tenilo Waterfall in Boalemo Regency, Gorontalo Province
For those who love exploration, Gorontalo Province should be their next region to explore during holidays. Why is that? It is the home of secluded beautiful waterfalls like Tenilo Waterfall! Well, as people may suggest, this waterfall is located in Tenilo Village of Dulup Sub-District. Also, it belongs to Boalemo Regency. The good thing is the location near to the local settlement so everyone can get there easily. Not to mention tourists have the chance to explore the village either after or before visiting the waterfall. They can also meet the locals and learn some traditions.
The location is not quite far from Tenilo Village (which is about 200 meters apart), so the accessibility is considered easy. Not to mention lots of villagers are seen along the way to the location. Next, when heading to the site, tourists may see lots of local plantations, too! The size is indeed vast, so it is recommended to drop by for a while at those farms before continuing the trip. Later, once arriving on the location, tourists would see lots of river stones that reside under the waterfall. In terms of size, the waterfall is small and it features a weak water discharge as well.
Exploring Tenilo Waterfall
Tenilo Waterfall has been recognized by the locals for generations. However, the condition is not as good as before due to local developments. These include agriculture expansion and tree logging! No wonder, the water discharge looks smaller and weaker than before due to decreasing water supply. The only thing that retains the beauty and water quality is only the number of trees that grow in that area. Thanks to the local government. They have worked hard in order to retain quality.
As for tourist activities, visitors usually enjoy photography and sightseeing there. They simply explore and get around the waterfall in order to take good photos. Aside from that, they want to relax while watching the waterfall. The best spot to do it is definitely above the rocks by the river. One thing, this must be done during good weather. Otherwise, the rain may disturb the comfort while relaxing.
What is more? After exploring the waterfall, tourists must not forget to drop by in Tenilo Village. The purpose is to reach the pier and conduct fishing along with villagers! Have no worries. The locals are friendly enough to lend a fishing rod or other equipment to tourists. The good news is tourists are able to enjoy fishing at the waterfall, too!
