Gedangan Waterfall in Nganjuk Regency, East Java Province
Nganjuk Regency is part of East Java Province and has been known for its fine natural attractions (especially waterfalls or curug). Tourists who visit the region, therefore, should not miss the chance to visit Gedangan Waterfall. This rejuvenating waterfall is located in Ngliman Village and belongs to Sawahan Sub-District. The popularity is not superior, though, due to the new status as a vacation spot. Here is a good thing. The environment is unspoiled, so tourists can enjoy the pristine nature. Not to mention the location is near to Sedudo Waterfall and Watu Lawang Hill.
As mentioned before, the nuance is both comfy and unspoiled. That means tourists won’t find trash in that area. A trekking route to the site is considered challenging, though. It is because tourists need to pass through the rocky, winding, and narrow surface. Plus, visitors should get through local plantations and pine forest. Have no worries. Several Gubug or traditional huts reside there, which are suitable for resting. After arriving at the location, they may see a beautiful waterfall that features a sloping water discharge. The flow is moderate and the water is crystal clear. The waterfall even features a perfect natural pond under it.
Exploring Gedangan Waterfall
The first good reason to visit Gedangan Waterfall is the absence of a ticket fee. Everyone can enter and explore the site freely! Perhaps the only expense is the parking fee (especially for those who come by a private vehicle). From the parking area, tourists can even hear the sound of gurgling water. Still, they need to pass through a footpath in order to reach the waterfall. The distance between the parking area and the location is only 50 meters, so don’t worry.
In terms of appearance, Gedangan Waterfall has a sloping form. The height is about 4 meters and the environment is pristine. Not to mention rocky black cliffs reside in that area. No wonder, the nuance becomes exotic and unique with all these features. During the visit, therefore, it is recommended to take photos of the waterfall and its nearby objects. No trash is seen on the site, so everyone would feel comfortable during the exploration.
Those who carry extra clothes must not forget to enjoy bathing in the natural pond as well. The water feels so refreshing and it looks so clean. As an alternative, visitors can simply enjoy hermitage and yoga in that area. The clean environment and fresh air accommodate these casual activities, for sure.
