Mampie beach is a coastal area with potential as a representative of the brackish ecosystem types; it has endemic animal and have a diversity of waterfowl and migratory birds. The beach is directly facing the Makassar Strait and commonly used by communities to collect Nener (seeds of Chanos Chanos),and even Chelonia mydas. - Mangrove forest. The vegetation is dominated by Api-api (Avicennia sp.), a habitat for many species of birds, including the type of migrants from Australia Pelecanus conspicillatus. The mangrove forests in this region have a lot converted into fish ponds and shrimp Chanos Chanos.
