No trip to Belitung Island is complete without visiting Mount Manumbing. Mount Menumbing has a height of 333 meters above sea level. Located on the top of the mountain is a historic house called Wisma Menumbing. The house was used by former Indonesian President, Soekarno, during his exile.
Menumbing House was built during the Dutch colonial period from 1928-1933. In the house there is a note stating that Soekarno was exiled together with Mohammad Hatta, Mr. Ag. Pringgodigdo, Komodor Surya Darma and Mr. Assa’at from 22 December 1948 to 7 July 1949. Mount Menumbing is located in Air Belo Village, Muntok District, West Bangka Regency. The ticket price is IDR 2,500. So, visit Menumbing House and take pictures at Mount Manumbing.
