Tagor Waterfall


This place is not known yet by many travelers, because this natural tourism in Fakfak is still difficult to reach. There are only a few photos of this waterfall on the Internet. This waterfall is located in Mambunibuni Village, Fakfak Regency, West Papua. Folk Story
The story from the Mambunibuni community about the Tagor Waterfall which still exists and has told to this day is the story of a grandmother who wanted to find out how tall Tagor Waterfall was by measuring it using sweet potatoes wrapped in leaves which were estimated to have the same size as a pillow bundle. Once upon a time, the grandmother threw away or washed the packet of sweet potatoes from the top of the Tagor waterfall and what the grandmother found was that the bundle of sweet potatoes was shattered, indicating that Tagor Waterfall was very high and very dangerous.

How to get there:
To be able to reach the Tagor Waterfall, you have to go through various accesses which are quite difficult. From Fak-Fak, you have to go to Mambunibuni Village by taxi or a microbus which about 4 hours away.

Upon arrival at Mambunibuni Village, visitors can go to the Tagor Waterfall location through the river path in the village on foot. The trip that takes about 6 hours is enough to make you feel tired, but that feeling will be lost with the beauty of the waterfall and the natural panorama of the tourist spot.
