Agro Tourism Kaliklatak Plantation in Banyuwangi, East Java

Kaliklatak is the pioneer of Agro Tourism in Banyuwangi even in Indonesia, this plantation has been established since long. The first owner is a Dutch company Mij Moorman & Co., but in 1957 this estate changed hands to R.Soehoed Prawiroatmodjo, a local businessman and specially engaged in coffee plants, rubber and cacao. R.Soehoed Prawiroatmodjo improved Kaliklatak plantations with other plants like pepper, cloves, nutmeg, vanilla, cinnamon, keningar, eucalyptus, coconut and fruits such as bananas and citrus.

Agro Wisata Kaliklatak (Kaliklatak Agro Torism), For those who have never heard this name Kaliklatak be mistaken called “kali” in Java language means river. Though this place is a plantation located in the east corner of the Java island. Precisely on the slopes of Mount Merapi, 15 kilometers west of the town of Banyuwangi and 15 minutes from Ketapang port. To get there, visitors can ride public transportation or private car from the city of Banyuwangi, passing lane mountain road.
