Sapanjang Island

Sapanjang is one of islands in Kangean archipelago. Sapanjang is the second largest island after Kangean island, and it located in the southeastern corner of Kangean of islands. Administratively, the island is located in the Sumenep regency, Madura, East Java, Indonesia.

throughout the island there are two villages, which is Sepanjang village that are located along the western part of the island, and the Tanjung village, that located in the eastern part of the island, which is included in the Sapeken district. Sepanjang island is kind of unique because there are so many languages ??that being used by the societies, from the language of Madura, bajo language, and mandar language. The most inhabitants are live as fishermen and farmers.
