5 Most Beautiful Beaches in East Java

With thousands of islands, Indonesia always offers a very enchanting beauty of the sea. Not only do you have to always go to Sulawesi or Bali, the island of Java also has many beaches that are no less beautiful, especially in East Java.

Here are some of the most beautiful beaches in East Java:
Papuma Beach, Jember
Besides being famous in East Java, Papuma Beach is often referred to as the most beautiful beach in the whole of Java Island. This beach can be accessed from Jember city which then goes to Tanjung Papuma. Generally, this beach is a getaway during weekends or short holidays. To enjoy this beach, you can rent several inns which are very close to Papuma Beach. This beach offers white sand with views of the rocks and the sea is very clear.

Teluk Ijo, Banyuwangi
Teluk Ijo Beach or commonly known as Green Bay from Banyuwangi is located in Sarongan Village, Pesanggaran Subdistrict. To go to the beach from downtown Banyuwangi, it is only 90 km away. As the name suggests, Teluk Ijo has clear sea water that turquoise green and also white sand.

Plengkung Beach, Banyuwangi
Not only Teluk Ijo, this regency in the easternmost part of Java also has several other beautiful beaches. One of them is Plengkung Beach or commonly called G Land beach. Plengkung Beach has long been a surfing spot because the waves have an average height of four to six meters along three km.

Plengkung Beach can be reached in several ways. If you use land transportation, you can spend the night in Banyuwangi City before heading to Kaliapit, and in the direction of Pancur. Another alternative is to use sea transportation. From downtown Banyuwangi, you can go to Grajagan and rent a speedboat to go to Plengkung Beach.

Klayar Beach, Pacitan
Klayar Beach is located in Donorojo Village, Pacitan, is only about 35 km from the city center. Apart from its white sand, Klayar Beach is also unique, the rocks that resemble a sphinx and natural fountains. Klayar Beach access is not too difficult. If you are driving from Yogyakarta, you can head straight for Wonosari and head straight for Pacitan.

Kedung Tumpang beach, Tulungagung
This well-known beach in Pucanglaban Village, Tulungagung, East Java has become the target of local tourists, especially during the pandemic. Apart from the charm of the beach itself, Kedung Tumpang Beach has a natural pool that you can enjoy when the sea water is receding. This natural pool is made because of the strong waves that pass through the rocks on the beach.
