Molana Island is located in Saparua district, Maluku Tengah regency, Maluku. This island is actually a cluster of coral reef that coming out to the surface of the sea and becomes a land. Molana Island has border with Ambon, Haruku and Nusa Laut island.
The possesion of Molana Island is belongs to three Marga or clans; Kainama, Kaya and Sousia. Those three clans are coming from Haria clan. The existence of Marga is very important for Maluku People.
One of uniqueness from this island is coming from the fine white sand. In fact, the wind can flying away the sands and it massively move into other place. This fact makes Molana sand move according to the season.
