Le Lac De Toba
Danau Toba ou le Lac de Toba sont une des destinations les plus populaires en Indonésie, particulièrement en Medan, Sumatra du Nord. Danau Toba est le plus grand lac volcanique en Indonésie, même en Asie du Sud-Est. Ce qui fait il plus spécial est pris de l'Île Samosir, une Île qui s'est installée au milieu du lac.
Le lac Toba est une zone de 1,707 km ², nous pouvons dire que c'est 1,000 km ² plus grand que Singapour. Cela formé par une éruption volcanique gigantesque il y a environ 70,000 ans, c'est probablement la plus grande caldeira résurgente sur la Terre. Pulau Samosir ou l'Île de Samosir, l'île au milieu, ont été joints au mur de caldeira par un isthme étroit, qui a été coupé par pour permettre aux bateaux de passer; un pont de route croise la coupe. L'île de Samosir est le centre culturel de la tribu de Batak, l'indigène de Sumatra du Nord.
