Dayak Borneo Tour (4 Days/ 3 Nights)

The Dayak tour will bring you to visit the famous town of diamond in Martapura, cruise through the jungle, exploring the Dayak culture of longhouse, and experience the bamboo rafting.

Day 1: Arrival in Banjarmasin – Loksado
Upon arrival at Banjarmasin Airport, transfer to Martapura, the town of diamond. If time allows you may visit diamond mining field where people are working to search raw diamond, or visiting diamond polishing workshop where people create their art to produce jewellery. Then drive to Loksado for about 3 hours.
Overnight at River Lodge

Day 2: Jungle Trekking – Longhouse Exploration
Early morning, Dayak tour package program is, leave the lodge and joining native people to go to forest for doing their job of tapping rubber milk or latex. You may watch and practice how to slash into the tree skin to take latex from every tree. It should be done in early morning when tree is still fresh and has much of latex. Afer this continue the exploration by cruise the forest and reach other field. Return to hotel for breakfast.

Next visit 3 Dayak longhouses: Malaris, Manotol and Altih. By short driving and hiking visit Malaris grand longhouse. People in Malaris now prefer to live in their own houses and longhouse is kept as unity spirit symbol. Physically longhouse has function as cultural hall and venue of organizing annual ceremonies.
By motorbike ride in short distance to visit Manatol longhouse and then continue to Altih longhouse. Both are smaller longhouses but the people still keep their living in it.
Based on Dayak’s people faith and tradition, longhouse has strong spirit for their life of keepng old heritance values as animism.
Interact with the native closely, even stay together with on their base would be fantastic experience.

Day 3: Loksado – Piani Bamboo Rafting – Banjarmasin (BLD)
After breakfast, this tour package program is leave the lodge and mobilize to Padang longhouse. it is the place of Demang as the tribe chief who lead all Dayak community in Meratus mount-range. Then continue to Pipitak Jaya village from where to start the bamboo rafting through Piani River (about 3 hours). After the rafting, continue to drive to Banjarmasin.
Overnight in Banjarmasin.

Day 4: Banjarmasin River tour – Departure (B)
Early in the mroning leave for the jetty then travel by motorized boat through Martapura river to reach the giant river of Barito where floating market is located. Your boat will interact with other canoes which are rowed by mostly ladies. You may try kind of local food or cakes sold on canoe. After that visit Kambang delta island in the mid of Barito river with its hundres of tame monkeys. Then return to the jetty, and continue drive to airport for your departure.
Dayak tour package is approximate 4 days and 3 night.
