Borneo Eco Adventure Tour (4 Days/ 3 Nights)

Eco culture of Borneo (Kalimantan), including trekking to Tangkiling Hills and the journey to Ujung Pandaran Mentaya. Upon arrival transfer to diamond mining of Cempaka, and the next day visit the floating market.

Day 1: Arrival – Martapura – Banjarmasin
Pick-up at Syamsudin Noor Airport of Banjarmasin, then transfer to diamond mining at Cempaka area. Learn about how to polish and cutting raw diamond at diamond polishing in Sungai Paring area. Back to Banjarmasin for overnight.

Day 2: Banjarmasin – Palangkaraya – Eco Village
Early in the morning, going to the floating market. Back to hotel and check-out to Palangkaraya city, transit at Sasirangan to see how the “batik” cloth of Banjarmasin is produced. Upon arrival at Palangkaraya, visit Dayak’s tribe of Sandung and learn about their birth and death culture. From here, continue with a river cruise and sightseeing of the wild orangutan.
Overnight at Borneo Eco Village.

Day 3: Eco Village – Tangkiling Hills
In the morning you will do some soft trekking to Tangkiling Hills, and after that back to hotel for breakfast and check-out. On the way to Sampit, visit woodcarvers for understanding of traditional carving of the Dayaks. Then heading to orangutan conservation area of Sagonta Kota, and here you can observe the flora of this tropical rainforest.
Back to Sampit for overnight.

Day 4: Sampit – South Mentaya Downstream
After breakfast and packing up, continue the journey to Ujung Pandaran Mentaya. Enjoy the unique atmosphere and watch the meeting between sea and fresh water. Visit also the old cemetery of Islam religion spreader in Ujung Pandaran. After lunch, return to the town of Sampit for sightseeing of local souvenirs. Transfer to Airport for your next destination.
