Banjarmasin Adventure Tour: Floating Market – Borneo Wildlife (3 Days/ 2 Nights)

Let’s explore Borneo island as Indonesian Kalimantan. From culture of the traditional floating market to the traditional digging of gem-stone and diamonds, to the wildlife of Bakut Island at barito River with proboscis Monkeys, and Kaja Island (pulau Kaja) with orangutans, and the exotic emerald jungle view from the Mount Tangkiling overlooking the Kalimantan rain forest jungle.
Itinerary:
Day 01: BANJARMASIN ARRIVAL
– Upon arrival at Banjarmasin airport
– Meeting service with guide
– Transfer to hotel (for check in)
– Go adventure by canoe Barito River which split Banjarmasin City to the Island Bakut (a small Island in the Barito River with exotic forest and wildlife as proboscis monkeys)
– Dinner at Local Restaurant
– Free at leisure (sightseeing in down-town Banjarmasin)
Day 02: FLOATING MARKET, PALANGKARAYA, TANGKILINGMOUNTAIN, RUNGAN SARI
– Visit the floating market of Banjarmasin (Kalimantan ’s river-life, explore the unique culture of Banjarese who trade commodities as fruit, and vegetables from boat to boat)
– Return to the hotel (check-out of the Hotel)
– Continue the journey overland (by car/minibus to Palangka Raya)
– On the way you see village life with rice plantations, and swamp forest
– Arrival at Palangkaraya (check in at Lodge)
– Lunch at local restaurant
– Visit to the Mount Tangkiling (nice view of Kalimantan ‘s emerald jungle landscape from the top)
– Continue to visit the orangutan Rehabilitation center Nyaru Menteng arboretum
– Enjoy a romantic sunset (the best view from the Tahai lake)
– Dinner at Local Restaurant
Day 03: KAJA ISLAND, PALANGKARAYA AIRPORT
– Breakfast
– Proceed to the harbor of Rungan River (cruise by canoe upstream Rungan River to Kaja Island)
– Enjoy Kaja Island ( Kaja Island is covered with lowland forest, with lots of wildlife and birds, where we can spot the orangutans from the river side)
– Return to Lodge (similar)
– Free at leisure
– Departure time to Palangkaraya airport to catch your flight to your next destination
