Explore Toraja and South Sulawesi Tour Package: Toraja, Togian Island, Bunaken 7 Days/6 Nights

Day 1: Arrival Makassar – Tanjung Bira (LD)
After breakfast, set out for a scenic drive to Tanjung Bira. On the way we will visit Bissappu waterfall in Bantaeng. Lunch en route. The Buginese and Makassarese are the most skillful boat builders and sailors in Indonesia. At Tana Beru you can see traditional perahu construction.
Dinner and overnight at simple accommodation.

Day 2: Tanjung Bira – Sengkang (BLD)
After breakfast, transfer to Sengkang, located in the center of the former Buginese kingdom. In Watampone we will visit the Museum of Andi Mapasissi to see his collection from the former Bugis royalties. Lunch en route. In the afternoon we will try to catch the beautiful views of the sunset over Lake Tempe. We will cross the lake by motorized canoe and visit the fisherman families who do live on the floating villages. Overnight at guesthouse in Sengkang.
Note: Lake Tempe is a shallow lake and by a no rain for along time, it will be dry and we cannot cross the lake.

Day 3: Sengkang – Toraja (BLD)
After breakfast, wewill visit a traditional silk factory, where women handspin and weave silk cloth, then transfer to Tana Toraja via Palopo, a small muslim harbour port. Lunch en route. The road from Palopo to Toraja gives us spectacular views. In the afternoon arrival in Rantepao. Dinner at overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Toraja (BLD)
After breakfast, a full day exploring Toraja. First we will visit Lemo to see tows of Tau Tau statues and the hanging graves. Onwards to Suaya to discover the secret of the Baby Tree. Also visiting Londa, to see an ancient grave where the deceased are entombed. At Kete Kesu, one of the oldest Torajan villages we can see Tongkonan, an old rice barns, also famous for its traditional colourful woodcarving. Lunch en route. Dinner at hotel.
Overnight in Rantepao.

Day 5: Toraja (BLD)
After breakfast, another full day discovery tour of Toraja, this time visiting Pallawa, Sa’dan – known as weaving centre, as well as Marante and Nanggala, traditional Torajan villages renowned for their large Tongkonans and rice barns. Lunch en route. Dinner at hotel.
Overnight in Rantepao.

Day 6: Toraja (BLD)
After breakfast, we set out on a full day trip to Batutumonga, enjoying superb views over Rantepao and surrounding vallesy. Ideal for a long walk along the ricefields and through the daily Torajan live. Lunch en route. Dinner at hotel.
Overnight in Rantepao.

Day 7: Toraja – Departure (BL)
After breakfast, drive back to Makassar. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Pare Pare. Then transfer directly to Hasanuddin Airport Makassar to catch your flight to your next destination. End of tour.
