Hike & Bike Mt. Batur (2 Days/ 1 Night)

Ever wondered what a volcano looks like up close? Ever wanted to hike up a volcano? Ever wanted to cycle through the lava stream of a volcano? Ever wanted to bathe in the rejuvenating hot springs of a volcano? Ever wanted to spend the night with a beautiful volcano as a backdrop? Ever wanted to do some great mountain biking in Bali? If you answered yes to all the above questions then this two day getaway will be one of the highlights of your holiday in Bali.

ITINERARY
DAY 01 | Batur Crater Ride | 28km
We transfer with our support vehicle to the central volcanoes of the island. Today’s ride goes around the outer rim of the volcano with amazing views of the ocean on one side and the mountains on the other. You may expect some of Bali’s best single track riding! Later we descend into the caldera and ride through the black lava stream where the latest eruption happened. After lunch we have an included visit to the local hot springs. In the afternoon we transfer back to the rim of the volcano where our hotel is located. The views from the hotel are amazing.

DAY 02 | Hike to the Summit of Mount Batur | Ride from Mount batur to Ubud | 35km
Our trekking guide will come and pick you up at your accommodation for the hike to the summit of Mount Batur. To witness Mount Batur at sunrise is to experience one of the most endearing displays of the earth’s eternal awakening. It takes about 2,5 hours to reach the summit where we will provide a light breakfast. You will be back at your hotel and then we start riding. We will cycle mostly downhill on a wide mixture of terrain all the way down to Ubud where our adventure ends. From here we can transfer you back to your accommodation in the South or you can spend the night in Ubud (accommodation on Day 2 not included).

INCLUSIONS
Charming, knowledgeable local guide, hard tail or full suspension bikes, helmet, gloves, local snacks and fruit, drinking water, 2 days of fully supported mountain biking with back up vehicle, 1 sunrise trek to the summit of Mount Batur, one night accommodation (double bed or twin share basis), 1 breakfast and 2 lunches
