Ijen crater is a crater lake with acidic residing which settled on Mount Ijen, East Java. It has 2368 meters height above sea level with 200 meters depth and the wide of crater reached 5466 hectares. Ijen crater is within the Park Reserve of Ijen Travel, East Java Province.
Ijen crater is the largest crater lake in the world. With bluish-green lake color, the sulfur miners, cold temperatures from the mountains and the beautiful and fascinating scenery, then it is very fitting that Kawah Ijen become a recommended tourist destination, both for local and foreign tourists.
Ijen Crater through Banyuwangi
This route can reach through Banyuwangi city, then to Licin district, Jambu village and Patulding. Patulding is the parking area, while the next journey will reach by foot. This route is commonly passed by visitors who go to Bali through Ketapang port.The road from Banyuwangi to Patulding is in good condition so all vehicles type can passed this road. Just be careful with sulfur trucks that passed this road.
Ijen Crater through Bondowoso
The route to Ijen crater through Bondowoso regency is further enough than through Banyuwangi. However, the natural scenery around the crater is extremely fascinating; coffee gardens and pine forests which are still very natural. From Bondowoso / Situbondo city, the journey to Wonosari, and then continue to Sempol village and finally to Patulding.

Pulau Merah (Red Island)
Pulau Merah is located in southern part of Banyuwangi city, precisely in Pesanggaran district. It needs 2-3 hours to get there. The beach with white sand and the beautiful whisper of the sea waves are ready to welcome visitors who visit Pulau Merah.
Belawan Waterfall
Belawan waterfall is located in Kalianyar village, Sempol district, about 52 km from Bondowoso city. It is not more than 30 minutes from Ijen crater because it is in the main line to Ijen crater way if you passed Bondowoso. This waterfall is the downstream of Pahit river, the seepage of Ijen crater which full of sulfur and surrounded by Macadamia plants. The visitors call this waterfall as ‘Little Niagara from Banyuwangi’. Beside Belawan waterfall, the visitors can also visit hot spring in this area.
