\"Orangutan_Tour\"<\/a>Day 01 Pangkalan Bun \u2013 Orangutan
\nUpon arrival at Pangkalan Bun Airport then pick up by the local staff and take you to Kumai to board on the boat. The boat is a traditional Klotok wooden river boat about 12m by 2m with a roof which forms the upper deck where you can view the rainforest as it glides by. The guide\u2019s team includes the boatman, a cook and expert guide. In the peaceful afternoon we will slowly explore the quite river by the klotok while observe the monkeys along the riverside. Dinner and overnight on the boat.<\/p>\n

Day 02\u00a0 Park \u2013 Camp Leakey Orangutan Research site \u2013 Boat
\nAfter breakfast board the klotok to travel up river boating and then up a side creek to Camp Leakey, this camp was established by Dr. Biurte Galdikas in 1971 as a research site to study wild orangutan. While she studied wild orangutan, she also received lots of ex-captive orangutan that she released into the forest of camp Leakey. Camp Leakey also first orangutan reintroduction in Indonesia. There are more than 200 orangutan ex-captive had been reintroduced into the rain forest. Trekking through tropical rainforest searching for wildlife, wild orangutan, birds and other primate as well as tropical jungle plant. Back to the boat for lunch then witness feeding time for old rehabilitation orangutan given additional foods. Overnight on the boat.<\/p>\n

Day 03\u00a0 Park \u2013 Pondok Tungguy Orangutan Rehabilitation center \u2013 Camp Leakey or Pesalat \u2013 Boat
\nAfter breakfast board the klotok to travel up the river for Pondok Tanguy, the orangutan rehabilitation center for the new ex-captive orangutans, see feeding time. Afterward is your free choice, you can take the 2nd visit at camp leakey or continuing the trip to Pesalat reforestation camp, See the process of reforestation project or take this opportunity to hike at forest. (For additional we could arrange the night walking on this place searching for nocturnal animal or glowing mushroom.) Free afternoon program, we could visit village near by the park. Overnight on the boat.<\/p>\n

Day 04\u00a0 Park \u2013 Kumai \u2013 Pangkalan Bun \u2013 Kudangan Village (B,L,D).
\nAfter very early breakfast, boating down to Kumai then direct transfer by private car to reach Kudangan Village. Then lunch will serve en route in the local restaurant. On arrival in Kudangan drive up to Muhur area to get close to the longhouse. Trekking up for one hours to reach the Long House in the forest. The owner of the long house will welcome you on his house. Enjoy your time with the local animist dayak tribe.\u00a0 Sightseeing around the long house. Dinner and overnight in the long house.<\/p>\n

Day 05\u00a0 Muhur Longhouse \u2013 Kudangan \u2013 Pangkalan Bun.
\nAfter breakfast together with the owner of the longhouse then you can swim around the small river then packing up and trekking back for 1 hour to reach the car. then drive back to Kudangan. on arrival in Kudangan you will sight seeing around this village to see another longhouse and local activities. Enjoy your time until the time drive back to Pangkalan Bun. Upon arrival in Pangkalan Bun direct transfer to the Hotel. Free program at your own leisure. Overnight at Hotel at Pangkalan Bun.<\/p>\n

Day 06\u00a0 Pangkalan Bun \u2013 End
\nAfter breakfast transfer by car to Pangkalan Bun airport for your next destination.<\/p>\n
