\nOn arrival at the airport, meet by the guide and direct transfer to the land of the heavenly kings, Toraja. The road to Pare-pare passing through Bugis Villages with typical houses built on stilts and vast rice fields along the way. After lunch at Pare-pare, continue the trip through gradually ascending and winding road of mountain hills and valleys offering superb views until you reach Rantepao. Have lunch en-route and overnight at hotel. Overnight at Toraja Heritage Hotel<\/p>\n

\nAfter breakfast at hotel, full day excursion to see the highlights of the region. Visit the cliff graves at Lemo where the burial chambers are cut out of the rock and several balconies are filed with “tau-tau”, effigies of the dead. The ancient cave grave at Londa, buried many members of the local nobility. Young village guide with kerosene lamps can be hired to enter the caves and see skeletons and old coffins. Ke’te Kesu, a traditional village famous for its wood carving and paintings. The market of Rantepao with arrays of handicrafts and souvenir shops is always interesting place to visit. \nAfter breakfast, drive to Pallawa, an excellent village to see a big and beautiful “Tongkonan” or Toraja house. Afterwards, drive to Batutumonga situated 1300 meters above sea level, worth for the superb views over Rantepao and surrounding valleys. After lunch you will start the village walk.\u00a0 This two to three hours walking experience will explore the less frequented tourist path through small village compounds, with plantation of coffee, vanilla, cloves, bamboo trees, and walk through the rice field. It is truly beautiful descent from Pana to Tikala where the car is awaiting to transport you back to Rantepao. Have lunch at local restaurant, dinner and overnight at hotel.
