Samarinda is the Capital of East Kalimantan and served as a hub to explore Mahakam River. Balikpapan is the major oil town of Indonesia and served as a transport hub for East Kalimantan.<\/p>\n<p>ITINERARY:<\/p>\n<p>DAY 1 (L \/ D)<br \/>\nBALIKPAPAN \u2013 SAMARINDA<br \/>\nUpon arrival at Sepinggan Airport, Balikpapan. Meet and greet session. We proceed to Samarinda overland, the journey may take about 2 hours 30 minutes. We will visit Desa Papang (Papang Village) for close-up view about culture and tradition of Dayak Tribe with Dayak Cultural dance. Hotel check in and rest before we have our seafood dinner.<\/p>\n<p>DAY 2 (B \/ L \/ D)<br \/>\nSAMARINDA \u2013 KUTAI<br \/>\nAfter breakfast, we proceed to Kutai, about 40 minutes drives\u2019 away.\u00a0 Kutai Kartanegara ing Martadipura (Martapura) Sultanate, the oldest known kingdom in Indonesia, believed established in year 1300. Upon arrival at Kutai, we will visit Mulawarman Museum and tour about Kutai Kartanegara Sultanate. Then, we will visit Tenggarong Fantasy World, an amusement park located in Kumala Island exactly at the centre of Mahakam River. On the boat-like island an amusement park of 85 hectare wide was established in 2002, including resort. Transfer back to Samarinda.<\/p>\n<p>DAY 3 (B \/ L \/ D)<br \/>\nSAMARINDA \u2013 BALIKPAPAN \u2013 CITY TOUR<br \/>\nAfter breakfast, hotel check out and we proceed to Balikpapan to visit orang-utan and Honey Bear conservation area.
