\"white-water-rafting-toraja-sulawesi-selatan\"<\/a>Day 1 : Arrival in Makassar – Makassar City<\/strong>
\nUpon arrival (in the morning) at Sultan Hasanuddin Airport, Makassar, you will meet our guide and travel direct to Fort Rotterdam, the old Dutch fortress. From there we visit Sulawesi Miniature Garden where you can see different types of South Sulawesian traditional houses and the Museum of Balla Lompa, with ancient collections from the Gowa Kingdom. Afterwards transfer to the hotel. Meals included: dinner.<\/p>\n

Day 2 : Makassar – Toraja<\/strong>
\nIn the morning wel continue the trip to the land of the heavenly kings, Tana Toraja. On the way from Makassar to Pare Pare you will pass through rice fields and Bugis villages with typical houses built on stilts. After Pare Pare the road gradually ascends and winds through mountain hills and valleys offering super views. Meals included: breakfast and dinner.<\/p>\n

Day 3 : Interior of Toraja<\/strong>
\nExploring the highlights of the region, see cliff graves at Lemo where burial chambers are cut out of the rock and several balconies are filled with tau tau – effigies of the dead. Next see the ancient cave graves at Londa, buried many members of the local nobility; Ke\u2019te\u2019 Kesu – a traditional village famous for its wood carvings and paintings and visit hanging graves at Marante village. Meals included: breakfast and dinner.<\/p>\n

Day 4 : Another Side of Toraja<\/strong>
\nYou will proceed to Palawa, a village where you can find big and beautiful tongkonan – traditional Toraja houses. Afterwards drive to Batutumongga situated 1,300 meters above sea level, worth for the super view over Rantepao and surrounding valleys. Then you will start the soft trekking through small village compounds, coffee, vanilla, cloves, bamboo plantations and rice fields (approximately 3 hours walk). Meals included: breakfast and dinner.<\/p>\n

Day 5 : White Water Rafting<\/strong>
\nThe scenic drive up mountain takes approximately 1,5 hours from Rantepao and then it’s approximately 50 minute walk through quite, remote villages, until you reach the river. Here awaits you 3 to 4 hours white water rafting experience. The surrounding landscape is stunning, you will see beautiful waterfalls and spectacular wildlife along the river bank. Meals included: breakfast, lunch and dinner.<\/p>\n

Day 6 :Toraja – Makassar<\/strong>
\nEarly morning drive to Makassar to catch the flight to your next destination. On the way you will stop at Bambapuang to have a view over the “Erotic Mountain”. Meals included: breakfast.<\/p>\n
