The reserve is covered by a complex mosaic of diverse lowland habitats, rainforest, mangrove swamps and lakes, offering shelter to a variety of fauna and flora. Home to a large population of several endangered primates, Tanjung Putting is foremost known for its orangutans, where serious efforts are being made to return them back to their natural environment.<\/p>\n<p>Itinerary<br \/>\nDay 1:<br \/>\nTransfer from Pangkalanbun to the nearby town of Kumai to board a small motorized boat that will be your accommodation for 2 nights.<\/p>\n<p>Day 2:<br \/>\nVisit Camp Leakey to watch orangutan feeding time. Learn more and help protect orangutan, proboscis monkey, gibbon and leaf-eating monkeys.
