Baluran National Park is known as Africa Van Java or Little Africa. Well, it is not wrong if this national park is often referred to as Africa of Java. Because nature and flora and fauna here at first glance are indeed similar to the natural conditions of Africa, as we often see on television.

Baluran National Park Tourism area of ​​25 thousand hectares is located in Banyuputih, Situbondo Regency. But actually this location is closer to the city of Banyuwangi, only about 35 km from the city of Banyuwangi to the north, while from the City of Situbondo the distance is still more than 60 km.

Because of its exact location on the border of the two regencies, some people call it Banyuwangi Baluran Tourism, while others call it Situbondo Baluran Tourism.

Exotic Savanna

Baluran National Park has the belle of beautiful Bekol savanna, the largest natural savanna on the island of Java, covering an area of approximately 300 hectares, with a backdrop of the majestic view of Mount Baluran soaring. In Bekol savanna we can see a variety of wildlife activities in nature, this is an African-style landscape, a paradise for photographers.

Deer, wild buffalo, peacocks, gray monkeys, we can easily find in Bekol savanna, especially in the morning or evening, when they are looking for food and drink.

To watch a more impressive panorama, we can go up to the view tower on the hill behind Pos Bekol. From the top of this tower of view a beautiful view of the whole of Savana Bekol, Mount Baluran, and Bama Beach in the distance.
