Kalala Beach, the Private Beach in East Sumba

Kalala Beach is beautiful beach surrounded by green hills and located in Melolo, East Sumba, NTT. This beach is famous for high waves and often called "private beach" because of scarcity of tourists visiting the beach.

For those who like to surf this beach is a good place because of the high waves and the white sand beach. The beach is still pristine and not contaminated with waste. Besides being a good surfspot, this beach is also used for seaweed producing.

Access
To get to this beach you can fly from Ngurah Rai Airport, Denpasar to Mau Hau Airport, Waingapu. From Waingapur the Kalala Beach is about 115 km to the southeast. You can go there by public transportation or rent a car from Waingapu to the Kalala beach.
