    Coban Rondo Waterfall - Pujon - Malang - East Java



    Coban Rondo waterfall is one of the waterfalls are very popular among domestic tourists and foreign tourists. This waterfall is located in Pandesari, District Pujon, Malang regency, East Java province.

    This beautiful waterfall is a waterfall on the slope of Mount Panderman resort that is about 32 km to the west from Malang. The heights is about 84m high, 1135 m from sea level. Average temperature is ± 22 °C. Water debits at rainy seasons is 150 liters/ sec and at dry seasons is 90 liters/ sec. You can enjoy beautiful panorama ore peaceful impression around the waterfall.

    Besides being able to enjoy the beauty and exotic Coban Rondo waterfall, there are some facilities that you can enjoy here such as: Outbonds, Camping grounds, Tubing Fun, Paint ball, Labyrinth, Mountain, Equestrian, Train Rabbits etc.

    Based on legends surrounding communities that the origin of Coban Rondo Waterfall originated from a pair of newlyweds love story which named Dewi Anjarwati derived from Mount Kawi and Raden Baron Kusuma from Mount Anjasmoro. The age of marriage is to kaskusn (36 days), Goddess Anjarwati invites him to the house of in-laws in Mount Anjasmoro. However, based on the indigenous people of Java that are still age substitute kaskusn not allowed to leave the house too much. Therefore, they are forbidden to go to Mount Anjarwati by the parents of Raden Baron.

    However, they insist will travel to Mount Anjasmoro with all the risks that exist. On the way suddenly appeared Joko Lelono which turned enamored with the beauty of the Goddess Anjarwati. Finally Raden Baron orders his men to hide Goddess Anjarwati to a location where there is a Waterfall (in the Java language called Coban). Raden Baron and Joko Lelono great bertempyr until both of them died. As a result of the death of her husband Dewi Anjarwati, then the status changes to Widow (in Javanese Rondo). Since then, the waterfall is called Coban Rondo waterfall. 84-meter high waterfall is derived from springs Cemoro Dudo. Coban Rondo waterfall is opened to the public since 1980.
