1. Taman Sari Water Castle
The thick, high walls remain faithful in keeping safe the story of how strong the water castle is. The soft shade of creme blends with flowery vines; the birds and dragons engraved on the walls are what make the castle feels so warm and romantic. The sound of dripping water from the bathing pools is just so melodious. In just seconds, you would likely imagine princesses of the palace wandering in the castle. 5. Pok Tunggal Beach

6. The Cliffs at Siung Beach

7. Malioboro
Classic romantic is the exact characteristic of Malioboro. Andong (traditional cart) parked along the sideways and becak (pedicab) waiting for passengers are part of the romantic side. Imagine the camera captures you while you're walking by with your lover, enjoying the environment. Perhaps it's when you're praising your lover on a becak or andong, or when you're holding her hand while enjoying the area around the heart of Jogja.

8. Aeromodeling Runway at Depok Beach
The location may not appear fascinating to common eyes. In a glance, there's nothing special; the runway is merely a straight path of approximately 400m with road marks, located just right along the seashore. Spruce trees and bushes typical of a beach decorate the right and left sides.

9. Plunyon Bridge, Kalikuning
The bridge is located in Plunyon, Kalikuning. It is one of the few structures still standing after Mount Merapi erupted in 2010. Although seemingly unattended, the bridge remains in good condition and safe for crossing. It is left just as it had always been, with no corrective work performed. Tall grasses and weeds have been its companion since the last four years. Apart from that, the fearful imagination of Mount Merapi showering down its volcanic ashes. In an instant, the bridge turns into a truly romantic place.

10. Plaosan Temple
The temple-built by Rakai Pikatan as the proof of his love for his wife, Pramudya Wardhani-comprises two main temples facing one another. The two structures stand gallantly, symbolizing the love between the king and the queen. It is believed that the power of the royal couple still remains there, and will spread to every couple visiting the temple. Couples taking pre-wedding shots at the temple are not only immortalizing their bond in a picture, but also repeating an ancient romance of hundreds of years ago.
