Gili Meno, is a middle island and the smallest island of the three Gili's Island in Lombok. Gili Meno is the quietest island for tourist visit. This is the great escape for honeymooners or someone who wants to get away from the busy life at big city.
The unique features of this island is coming from the salt lake and spectacular dive sites such as, Meno Wall, Sea Turtle Point, and Blue Coral Point. The beach that located on the eastern part of the island is very nice and there is snorkeling spot just offshore and further north.
This island is also a sanctuary for hundreds of various tropical birds that spread from all over Indonesia. This sanctuary is managed by the Australian businessman who lives in Bali and contributed to Indonesia tourism and the importance of bird preservation.
Gili Meno has a population of about 300 local people. The interior of the island is mostly a palm trees surrounded by grass which is kept neat by cows munching lazily in the shade. Do not worry about the hectic situation, because there are no cars or motorbikes on the island, all transport are by horse-drawn carts or on foot.
