Sekaten is a ritual ceremony in Yogyakarta Palace that held every year. The ceremony was held for seven days since 5 Mulud (Rabiulawal on Islam calendar) afternoons until 11 Mulud (Rabiulawal) midnight. Sekaten ceremony held to commemorate the birth (Mulud) of the Prophet Muhammad. Another purpose of organizing this ceremony is for a means of spreading Islam.
