Putri Island (Princess Island) is one of the 92 outer islands of Indonesia. The outer islands means the islands became a direct boundary between Indonesia and neighboring countries. Putri Island is located in Nongsa Coastal area. The position of Putri Island is very strategic, which borders Singapore Strait, the busiest straits in the world, and directly adjacent to the countries of Singapore and Malaysia. On the island there are a monument. At the monument was sculpted state emblem of Garuda Pancasila and the unitary Republic of Indonesia complete with point coordinates North latitude and longitude. In addition to the monument, in the Putri Island also there is lighthouse tower powered by solar as a guide for ships sailing in the Singapore Strait to avoid hitting the reef.

Putri Island is only about 1 km from Nongsa Beach. At high tide the island is divided into three island. And at low tide the 3 islands will be one island. The main island has an area of only about three hundred meters with the beautiful white sand. Other parts of the island is located in the eastern part overlooking the Singapore Straits, almost half of the land has been eroded due to abrasion. In the eastern part of the island is no beach but in the form of a cliff about 10 meters altitude. Putri Island is located only 13 km from Changi Beach Singapore. Meanwhile, Putri Island Beach distance to Johor, Malaysia about 16 Km away.

At the weekend Putri Island is visited by foreign tourists. To go to the Putri Island from Nongsa Beach you can take a boat for only IDR 10,000 for commuting. In this Putri Island you can swim or just sit and enjoy the ocean scenery while enjoying the sea breeze. In this place many locals who sell instant noodles, soft drinks, iced coconut till corn. You can also grilled fish or barbeque with family while on mats under shady trees.
