Paduppa Dance is a traditional dance from Bugis Makassar, South Sulawesi. Commonly called as a "greeter" dance who intended to give a speech to the guests of honor who were present at an event. For example, when there are ceremonies, wedding party, or when honored guests come to Makassar. Padduppa derived from Bugis language which means "meeting" (kingdom of Gowa century).
Paduppa dance is the result of the copyright sense and intention of Bugis Makassar which is a symbol of respect, openness to the times but still maintain the customary courtesy as Bugis Makassar. Paddupa dance performed by beautiful girls with typical traditional musical accompaniment of Bugis Makassar.
