Kembang Island is a delta that located in the center of Barito river, administratively on Alalak district, Barito Kuala regency, South Kalimantan province. It is located on the west of Banjarmasin. Kembang Island designated as forest tourism also providing habitat for long-tailed macaques (monkeys) and several species of birds. Kembang island region is also one of the attractions that are within the forest area in the district of Barito Kuala.
In this forests there is an altar dedicated as a place to put the offering for “guard” of Kembang island which is represented by two statues of white monkeys by the community of Chinese-indonesian ethnic who has a particular now. One male goat with a gilded horns is usually released into the jungle of Kembang island if a request was successful or fulfilled.
