Srampang WaterfallSrampang waterfall, the beauty that hidden in the woods of Mount Lawu. The waterfall is located in the district of Jogo-Rogo, the foot of Mount Sewu, Ngawi. To go to the waterfall, the visitors must first pass through the forest on the mountain Lawu, along a steep road, wildflowers and shady thick pine forest. The trip to the waterfall will be very tiring, because we have to passed more than 20 rise and fall that slippery and steep. However, when they arrived at the location of the waterfall, all the tiredness will be paid off with the extravagant beauty.
Tawun Recreational ParkTawun Recreational Park is a leisure park and swimming pool that located about 7Km east town of Ngawi. In addition to the pool there is also an artificial lake which is equipped with canoes, mini zoo, fishing area and a turtle pond. Every once a year on Tuesday pon (Javanese calender), there will be traditional ritual of Keduk Beji, as the gratitude of God Almighty after harvest.
Fort Van den VoschFort Van den Bosch, or better known as Pendem Castle is a fortress that located in the Pelem Village, Ngawi District, Ngawi. The fort has building size of 165 mx 80 m with a land area of 15 hectares. The location is easily accessible from the Government Office of Ngawi, which is around 1 Km northeast. The layout of the castle is very strategic because it is located at the meeting point of the river Bengawan Solo and Madiun River. This fort was used to deliberately lower than the surrounding ground, that surrounded by high ground so it looks from the outside hidden. It makes people around the castle name it Pendem Castle, or hidden.
Trinil MuseumTrinil Museum is located about 12 kilometers in the west of Ngawi is in same direction of Soerjo monument. It constitutes the complex of myth of ancient man fossil (prehistoric men fossil) (Pitecanthropus erectus) and also fossils of other ancient life, which has been raised to the world of science by an archeologist named Eugene Dubois since 1891.
In this complex of myths there are many kinds of facilities such as: the place to keep the fossils any its exposition, fossil laboratory, and others where all of them lie at the side of Solo river. After observing the museum collection and their scientific identifications, then the visitor can enjoy the direction of the side of Solo river from the altitude, we can imagine the fragment of lives of the prehistoric people in the shade of the tropical forest at the side of Solo river, as though we have become apart of them.
Pondok DamPondok Dam is located in Dero village, Bringin district, about 6 km east of Ngawi. It is a popular tourism object among the local tourists. Beside its functions as irrigation purposes, it also offers variety recreational activities such as; fishing, motor boating, camping, playground etc. Pondok Dam is the answer to spend of our day, because it has beautifull and natural scenery. This location has surrounded by Mahoni and teak trees. The total of water area is more than 2,596 hectares.
