September 8 – FISH AUCTION<\/p>\n

It is held to welcome Idul Fitri highlighted with special fish (Bandeng) auction. The fish is taken from either dry water or salty one.

\nSeptember 13 – 19 – SEBLANG OLEHSARI<\/p>\n

Seblang is a ceremony of village purification highlighted with mystical trance dance called Seblang. It is only played by women for seven days in row. This ritual dance aims to drive away the evil spirit. In the last day, the dancers parade throughout the village by distributing some flowers and the villagers try to get and keep it at home as an amulet.

Watch the cat marriage and be the witness at the uncommon ceremony of cat marriage, you will have an unforgettable experience. This annual event is held at Campur Darat Village, Tulungagung Regency. The aim of the festival is to expect rainfall. It is historically initiated by Mbah Sangkah. People believe that when the couple of the cats (Tirtosari and Jokowono) take a shower the rain will fall soon. The bathing procession takes place in Coban Kromo highlighted with traditional performances.
