Those ceremonies are held annually and become interesting attraction to be attended.<\/p>\n<p>This also becomes the agenda for East Java tourism aboard, to attract the tourists to come in order to introduce the uniquely East Java.<\/p>\n<p>The East Java\u2019s Calendar of Events 2012 is contains the schedule of some traditional ceremonies, traditions, festivals and performances which held in some cities and regencies in East Java. It is designed to promote and to publish the tourism agenda in the whole area in East Java.<\/p>\n<h2>February<\/h2>\n<h3>8 February<\/h3>\n<h3>PASURUAN ANNIVERSARY<\/h3>\n<p>Pasuruan city is located in golden triangle between the towns of Probolinggo &#8211; Malang and Pasuruan that located 45 km northeast of the provincial capital of East Java. Pasuruan is known as Kota Santri or Muslim Students, for the most people are moslem and there are numbers of Islam Borading School or Pondok Pesantre in here.<br \/>\nFebruary 8 is the anniversary of Pasuruan, to commemorate that day, the societies is always celebrated by holding a variety of activities including:<br \/>\n&#8211; praying in the tomb of Suropati, completing, games, thanksgiving ceremonial and many more. Those activities are involving the entire socities in Pasuruan. At the main event, there will be &#8220;Kirap Petaka Untung Suropati&#8221;, which is the procession of the build of Pasuruan at old times.<br \/>\n<em>Location: <a href=\"..\/..\/tourism\/pasuruan\">Pasuruan City<br \/>\n<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<h3>February 14<\/h3>\n<h3>PETA Colossal Drama<\/h3>\n<p>This Colossal drama is annually held to commemorate the uprising of PETA souldiers against Japanese colonial in Blitar in 1945, which was led by Sudanco Soeprijadi. By this colossal drama, it hopefully can increase the value of heroism and appreciate the sense of patriotism to the country.<br \/>\n<em>Location: <a href=\"..\/..\/tourism\/blitar\">PETA Monument Complex,\u00a0 Blitar Regency<br \/>\n<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<h3>February 15<\/h3>\n<h3>The Anniversary of Prophet Muhammad<\/h3>\n<p>This activity is undertaken to commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad.<br \/>\n<em>Location: <a href=\"..\/..\/tourism\/madiun\">Mosque, Mausoleum Kuncen, Madiun<\/a><br \/>\nTime 07:00 to 15:00 WIB<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>February 17<\/h3>\n<h3>Washing Kyai Pradah&#8217;s Gong<\/h3>\n<p>This ritual is part of cultural activities from the indigenous Sutojayan, Blitar. At this moment, the society will wash the Gong or typical of traditional instrument, that belongs to Kyai Pradah. The aim for this activity is asking bless, abundant life and security to God<br \/>\n<em>Location: <a href=\"..\/..\/tourism\/blitar\">Kalipang Village, Sutojayan sub district, Blitar<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<div id=\"ads7\"><\/div>\n<h3>February<\/h3>\n<h3>Sampang Anniversary<\/h3>\n<p>Sampang anniversary is annually held at the same day with Grebeg Maulid at 12 Rabiul Awal (Islamic Calendar). At this day there will be a festival that consists of Pilgrimage tour to Sampang elder, fireworks, social activities and live music.<br \/>\n<em>Location: W<a href=\"..\/..\/tourism\/sampang\">ijaya Kusuma Field, Sampang, Madura<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<h3>February-March<\/h3>\n<h3>TOURISM AMBASSADOR ELECTION : KANGMAS DIAJENG<\/h3>\n<p>This Kangmas-Diajeng election is held by Blitar society annually. By helding this election can also increase the visit of the tourists in Blitar. Afterward, the winner of the election will be included in East Java Raka-Raki election in Surabaya.<br \/>\n<em>Location: <a href=\"..\/..\/tourism\/blitar\">The Office of Communications, Information and Tourism Blitar.<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<div id=\"ads7\"><\/div>\n<p>It is important to inform that the local communities usually determine the schedules of the ceremonial events by using the calendars of Javanese, Moslem, and Hindu Tenggerese.
