Pearl Harbor Battleships Tour and Honolulu Sightseeing from Maui by Air
- Overview
Get an early start to make your way to Kahului Airport on Maui for your 35-minute flight to Honolulu, where your guide meets you at the airport and takes you to your comfortable air-conditioned minivan.
Head to the nearby Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, where you enjoy approximately seven hours to tour exhibits that include the USS Arizona Memorial, USS Missouri battleship and USS Oklahoma Memorial. Your guide provides all tickets so that you get started right away.
Your USS Arizona tour includes a 25-minute documentary film about the history of Pearl Harbor and a trip out to the memorial, a long white building that spans the mid-portion of the submerged battleship USS Arizona, visible in the clear waters below.
The USS Missouri and the USS Oklahoma Memorial are located across a bridge on Ford Island. After a 30-minute guided tour of the USS Missouri, have about one hour to explore the ship on your own. Then follow your guide to the USS Oklahoma Memorial, which commemorates the 429 people who lost their lives when the USS Oklahoma was destroyed during the Pearl Harbor attack.
During your visit, you may have time to see the USS Bowfin submarine and exhibits halls ‘Attack’ and ‘Road To War.’ Lunch is included and you can purchase additional snacks on-site.
In the late afternoon, reboard your minivan to head into downtown Honolulu for a tour of highlights that include the Iolani Palace, Kawaiahao Church, Ali'iolani Hale and King Kamehameha the GreatÂ’s statue. Then drive through National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, passing Ala Moana Beach Park on the way.
At the end of the day, your guide returns you to Honolulu Airport to catch your flight back to Maui.
