This tour offers a great combination of glacier hiking and a scenic boat ride on the magnificent Fjallsárlon glacier lagoon.

Your day starts at a hut in Skaftafell, where will be provided with the necessary glacier equipment before making your way towards the Falljökull Glacier. A short 15minute bus ride with scenic views on the peaks of Skaftafell National Park will take you close to one of the glacier tongues of Europe’s biggest glacier. After a short hike through the glacier valley, you'll finally enter the ice. Your guide will lead you around big crevasses and moulins towards the icefall. The shining blue color and tremendous size of the glacier can best be experienced by walking on it.

After you explored the glacier by feet, you will need to drive to Fjallsárlón glacier lagoon, about 40 min drive, where you join a boat ride to the secluded Fjallsárlón glacier lagoon. Driving past floating icebergs is the perfect way to end a long day full of adventure.
