3-Day Tour of Eje Cafetero Coffee Region from Medellín
  • Overview

Delve deep into UNESCO World Heritage site Eje Cafetero, Colombia’s coffee country in the sloping foothills of the Andes, on this 3-day tour from Medellín. Stay two nights at Hacienda Venecia, a century-old traditional coffee farm, and enjoy an inside look at its sustainable practices. Cruise down a scenic highway and visit Manizales and Salento, urban settlements in the high forests, and hike past soaring wax-palm trees in lush Cocora Valley. And of course, take pleasure in tasting some of the best coffee in the world.

With two overnight stays in one of ColombiaÂ’s oldest and most popular working coffee farms, plus entrance fees and transportation to all locations included, this tour is a great way to see the famous coffee growing region of Eje Cafetero.

Designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2011, Eje Cafetero, aka Triángulo del Café, encompasses six sloping farming landscapes and 18 urban settlements in the western and central ranges of the Andes foothills in western Colombia. During your tour, visit sites along the ‘coffee highway,’ and learn about the area’s history of indigenous Antioquian colonization with Spanish influence.

When it comes to your accommodation at Hacienda Venecia, decide between the Supreme Package that includes a private room with its own entrance at the main farmhouse and one additional included dinner on Day 1, or the Standard Package with a private or shared room in the guesthouse with either private or shared bathrooms.
