Relive Operation Overlord, the largest operation in military history with our expert D-Day Normandy tour guide.

At 7:00am your licensed tour guide will pick you up at your accommodation in Paris in a luxury Mercedes van (pick up and drop off included in our tour). You will start this D-Day Normandy tour with a detailed guided tour of Pointe du Hoc, the 100 feet high cliff that Colonel James Earl Rudder and his men (225 US rangers in total) had to scale under fire to achieve an impressive and almost impossible mission : find the six 155-mm guns in order to destroy them as soon as possible to save thousands of lives from the men who were landing at Utah beach and Omaha beach at the same time.

You will then follow the tour by a stop at Omaha beach ( the beaches of three villages, Colleville, Saint-Laurent and Vierville sur Mer) to explain you why Omaha beach ended up being called « Bloody Omaha » at the end of the day.

After lunch (not included in the tour, we will a recommend you a nice place to have lunch with typical local food from Normandy), you will be taken to another important spot at Omaha beach to also explain you the German perspective on D-Day. The tour will finish with a guided visit of the American Cemetery and will give you free time to visit the Visitor’s center in Colleville sur Mer.
On request and if time permits, a stop can be made at the gun battery of Longues sur Mer and Arromanches (Mulberry B/artifical harbor remains at Gold beach) before heading back to Paris. This tour can also be adapted with a stop at Juno beach for our Canadian customers on request. Your tour duration is 12 hours.

Exclusively for Viator customers, a bottle of Apple Cider and a box of Isigny Caramels will be offered as a souvenir from Normandy.
