From the hotel, the tour will drive to one of ArabiaÂ’s must-see buildings, the magnificent Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. Opened in 2001, the traditional style and quality make it a truly special structure. A short drive will take you from the mosque to Muttrah Souk (market), where a walk through its narrow shaded passages is an enjoyable experience. Bargain with shop keepers to buy Frankincense or Gold from the glittering Gold Souk.

The final stop before lunch will be Bait Al Zubair, or other museums, depending on your interests. There are often temporary exhibitions which add interest to each visit. After lunch, take a stroll around the area which includes the Palace of Sultan Qaboos, OmanÂ’s monarch. The old forts of Jalali and Mirani can be taken-in and a drive through some of the housing and coastal areas of Muscat before returning to your hotel.
