Enjoy a leisurely drive to the start of the Kalk Bay Mountain hike (Echo Valley). The hiking area was reopened on Monday 14 September 2015 after being closed due to a devastating fire. You will be able to see how the area's fynbos has been recovering.

There are five caves to explore along this hike namely; Boomslang, White Dome, Oreal Halls, Tartarus and Prism Cave. The hike back will be down Spes Bona Valley and Oukraal Path. After your hike, enjoy a lovely lunch in Kalk Bay situated at the foot of the ocean and spend some time exploring the quaint little town.

Please make sure you wear suitable shoes and clothing when hiking. It is also important to ensure you put on sunblock as the African sun can be harmful to your skin.
