Enjoy a day traveling up the Amalfi coast and viewing the ruins of Pompeii. You'll have a professional, English-speaking driver for your journey, as well as a licensed professional guide to tour the ruins.

Your day trip will begin about 7:30am where your driver will pick you up directly from your hotel; you'll then head south towards the Campania region. Within 3 hours you'll reach the Pompeii ruins where you'll meet up with your licensed tour guide (if requested). The Pompeii Scavi tour will last around 2 hours; here you'll be able to view the scale of the tragedy from what was one of the most active and splendid Roman centers.

After your tour, you'll continue to either Sorrento, Positano or Amalfi, enjoying the fantastic panorama of the scenic landscape of these towns. Whichever village you choose, you'll be stopping for lunch at a recommended restaurant, where your driver will also give you some information and suggestions about what to do about the town.

If you choose Amalfi, the driver will give you time to walk around the city and admire the Mediterranean architecture. Relax in one of the cafés with some limoncello, or explore the Cloister of Paradise (Chiostro del Paradiso), an intriguing Arabian-style hamlet.

If you choose to explore Positano, you can see the gorgeous white- and pastel-coloured houses that stand out from the hillside, and take a stroll along its beaches.

Whichever village you choose, at the end of the tour you will meet your driver around 4-4:30 pm in the pre-arranged point, then start traveling on the way back to Rome; you will then arrive back at your hotel around 7:30pm

At any point in the tour, please don't hesitate to ask your driver to stop so you can take pictures of the surrounding landscape.
