Join this private 10-hour tour from Prague and visit the summer residence of Czech presidents and its gardens. Be astonished by the powerful steam locomotives after a delicious Czech lunch and explore the ruins of Krakovec Castle before ending your trip with a tour of Krušovice Royal Brewery including a tasting. Be picked up from your Prague hotel in the morning and arrive in Lany after an approximate 45-minute ride through central Bohemia. Visit the gardens of Chateau Lany, founded in 1392. The chateau, which is surrounded in a beautiful landscape and the KÅ™ivoklát forest, was chosen as a summer residency of the new head of state of Czechoslovakia in 1921. There is also a racing cars museum located nearby, which offers you a glimpse at a lot of cars including the formula cars of Czech professional racing driver Tomas Enge.
After a delicious lunch in a typical Czech restaurant (included in tour price), you will visit the Railroad Museum in Lužná. Here you will see exhibits from various times of railways transport. See the little local trains from the 19th century as well as most modern machines that experienced the highs and lows of the steam powered traction in the second half of the 20th century.
Continue your journey with a visit to Krakovec Castle, founded in 1381, and see the progressive building that was on par with the royal castles. Your tour will end with a visit of the royal brewery in Krušovice. The brewery was founded before 1581 and was bought by the Kingdom in 1583. Enjoy a beer tasting of the brewery’s products before starting your return trip to Prague.
