I recorded the Orang Utans in the end of 2004 in South-Borneo (Kalimantan). You will see several monkeys: babys, families and the big boss. Even one Orang Utan chasing away a wild pig. more impressions on www.mawi.jimdo.com

Feb 24, 2009 - STAND UP AGAINST PALM OIL PRODUCTS!!!! These babies are orphaned because people are destroying their natural habitats and planting palm trees to make vegetable oil. It is in nearly every chocolate, every crisp and in 80% of foods on the shelves in your supermarkets. Don't be blinded by the label "vegetable oil" as that is the way of companies disguising the fact that they use Palm Products in their foods!!! DONT BE FOOLED AND HELP SAFE WHAT WE HAVE LEFT OF THESE BEAUTIFUL CREATURES!!!!!!!!!!

Nov 10, 2009 - Orangutans are such peaceful creatures, and it's sad that their habitat is being destroyed when the palm oil plantations turn out to be non-sunstainable for the humans as well. I've noticed that some of the companies are starting to say "oil of palmitate" to try and hide what the product is -- some brands of non-dairy coffee creamer, some of the moist "health bars" (South Beach) and watch out for those packaged diet food entrees that don't need refrigeration, like NutriSystem.
