After reaching South East Sulawesi in Indonesia the boy wonder and his new found fiery haired friend explore the only way they know how, Bemo (aka local taxi mini-van) style. The locals were unaware that there was two crazed whiteys behind the wheel and they were in for a real shock when they hailed us down thinking we were just the usual Indonesian taxi men. The adventure took them through mountain ranges and dirt paths to concrete roads with many holes in to big cities, small remote villages, wooden shacks and about a dozon police stations. It was all good.

Dec 25, 2007 - Yeah, I over took a poice car on the way into Kendari and got sent down to the police station. Didn't have a passport or documents for the van so they thought I was illegally in the country and had stolen the van. We cleared it up and got a free police escort around Kendari town, free poice jacket and a free tank of petrol and stayed at one of the Poiceman's house and got free food.

Jan 15, 2008 - Pretty much the same just smaller and no big shopping malls from what I can remember, I imagine you are probably from that area or you have family there causes its not your typical holiday destination? We tryed to rent one of those two man seats with half a motorbike at the back and drive that round for 5 days but ended up with the pete pete. Awesome times!

Oct 19, 2008 - English my little Indonesian friend. Pelni ship broke down on the way to Malaysia so I was stranded on Sulawesi and met up with some other crazy Englishman and we hitchiked down to Sulewesi Tengarra because hardly anyone goes there and then rented a pete-pete and pretended we were local Indonesian taximen, so funny.
