    Kodingareng Keke Island

    Kodingareng Keke is one of several uninhabited islands in South Sulawesi. The island is located about 14 km from Losari Makassar, or about 20 to 30 minutes from Samalona Island.

    The island is a small island that extends from the northeast to the southwest. The sand beach on the island is fine white and smooth, while the the sea water is sparkling blue and clear. The coral reefs are also natural and It is suitable for doing diving and snorkeling. A great time to visit this island is around June until September or when it is not in the rainy season.

    This island is an uninhabited island. However, there are some gazebos or shelters that can be used by visitors to take some rest. Meanwhile, for the food stalls or inn, we can find it around the area of Samalona Island. Hence, it is better to bring our own food and drink while visiting this Island.

    The beach is only about 20 to 30 minutes from Samalona Island or about 14 km from Losari Makassar. To go to this island, from Makassar city center, you can go directly to the nearest dock or Bangkoa Wooden pier or the port that settled in front of the Fort Rotterdam.

    You can rent a motor boat on one of the docks to get to the island location. The cost to take some rent is about Rp. 500 thousand or depending on your agreement with the driver. One motor boat can accommodate eight to ten people, and it takes 40 to 60 minutes depending on the weather.

    If you who get the chance to visit South Sulawesi there is a beautiful little gem of an island with crystal clear water and white sandy beaches called Kondingareng Keke just 30 minutes by boat from the capital city of Makassar.
