    Tenganan Village, Original Balinese Village - Bali



    Tenganan village is an original traditional village in Bali and can be considered interesting places to visit. This traditional village is located in District Manggis, Karangasem, district on the eastern island of Bali, located about 70 km from the international airport Ngurah Rai. Time needed to visit Tenganan village from the airport, approximately one and a half hours by car. If there is no traffic jam on the road it will take less than one and a half hours.

    Tenganan village is one of three original Balinese villages, which includes the category of Bali Aga. Two of them are in Sub Trunyan Kintamani, Bangli district, and village in the district Sembiran Tejakule, Buleleng. The meaning of the Bali Aga village is a style of life in society are still guided by the rules and culture of the era before Majapahit Kingdom. Architecture of the houses on Bali Aga village, meeting halls, and temples are built base on it’s original is to maintain the cultural rules which is down for generations. Characteristics of building or houses, made from a mixture of red stone, river rock, soil.
