Teluk Gelam, Beautiful Lake in Ogan Komering Ilir

Teluk Gelam is located in Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI), South Sumatra Province, there are about 12 natural attractions frequented by tourists. From many sights of the most visited and is a mainstay of OKI is Teluk Gelam Lake. To reach these places is relatively easy, because of its location on the edge of Sumatra highway, about 25 kilometers from the capital of OKI or 92 kilometers southeast of the city of Palembang.

The Beautiful Lake Teluk Gelam Palembang has a natural lake conditions covering approximately 250 acres where the water never dries up, although in the dry season. The water is quite clear lakes and inhabited by various species of fish, such as: belida, Tapah, arowana, and reputedly inhabited also by some crocodiles (although has never been anyone who saw it). In the middle of the lake there is a land that is overgrown with thousands of trees gelam (Melalueka leucadendron) with tiny leaves and pale green. Around the lake, visitors can work out the water, bathing, swimming, fishing, or even just walking around enjoying the scenery.
