The Island
A S U, one of surfing's last frontiers. is part of the remote and beautiful Hinako Islands of North Sumatra. The Islands are approximately 120 miles off the west coast of Sumatra, 7 miles from from the island of Nias (famous for the perfect right-hander at Lagundri Bay). The Hinako Islands are blessed with machine like world class breaks and far fewer visitors than their near neighbours the Mentawais Islands.
